The Artist As A Young Dog

I have been getting in touch with my inner Bedlington, which has inspired me to create these poems. I hope you enjoy them.

I.

Ball

Bounce


Beautiful

I see a sparrow
The sparrow sees me
I get excited --
I pee

III.



Bella

There once was a puppy named Boodles

He loved only black Standard Poodles

He’d gaze at one sweetly

Then kiss its nose neatly

Before running away, yelling, “Toodles”

I sit by the door
wagging my tail
as she leaves

I sit by the door
wagging my tail
as she returns
